One of the most interesting cities in the United States is Charleston, South Carolina. Filled with history, it presents Southern charm with its friendly and welcoming people.

Located on an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, Charleston was founded in 1670 and is the oldest city in South Carolina. Golf is a big deal here. In addition to the City of Charleston Golf Course, there are 19 other courses and club locations in and about the city, offering excellent opportunities for every golfer.

Hospitality and warm greetings will be found at the city's many historic and cultural attractions, which include historical and art museums, historic sites and homes. There are exhibits relating to the American Revolution, the Civil War and other periods, many of them housed in restored (or well-maintained) nineteenth century buildings.
